Program: Supportive Housing

Organization: Canadian Mental Health Association - Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Branch
Description of Services: To provide flexible strengths-based and barrier free supportive housing for persons with a serious mental illness or dual diagnosis that is based on respect, dignity, hope and collaboration. Housing available in Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland.
  • To support to live as independently as possible
  • To support people to participate in the community, accessing community resources and assistance
  • To provide supports to minimize stress, provide illness management and prevent crisis and hospitalization
  • To provide education and support to people to enable them to develop and maintain skills and relationships.
Supports are flexible and based on client need and stability and may include: Case Management * Housing Supports * Housing Retention visits * Partnerships with community partners who provide the functions of primary support person in the unit.
