Description of Services: School Health Support Services are available in Haliburton, Northumberland and City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly Victoria County).

Assess and coordinate access to professional health care services such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, dietetic and personal support services for children with special needs who require assistance in the school setting.

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Services are available province-wide to children 21 years of age or younger with special needs in a school registered with the Ministry of Education and whom are Ontario residents insured under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Additional eligibility cr
Application: The referral process is initated by the teacher or prinicpal in the school.
Waiting Period - No waiting period to make a new referral. Waiting periods for direct service vary depending on type of service required and priority need.
